With 340 brilliants weighing 287 ½ and others weighing 84 carats besides 500 roses, Alexandra wore this on speical occasions, such as the famous opening of the Imperial Duma at the Winter Palace (St George hall). These jewels were not in personal possesion of Alexandra and were kept in the jewel room of the Wnter palace and had to sign a receipt when she checked them out and had to give a return date.
